The sky’s the limit really. It depends on how much time and money you have to invest. You could buy the license to retail almost any product through a website or create your own product.
Most people start out by becoming and affiliate and market the products and services of others. It’s called Affiliate Marketing.
There are a few websites like ClickBank that list thousands of products and services created by many different authors. You just research them, pick one or two, create an affiliate link to their site so that you get commissions on the sales you make and advertise that link on a website you create.
This is the easiest way to get involved with Internet Marketing. In order to see any real success, you must choose an awesome, sought after product or service to represent. They must provide real value for the people who would purchase them.
The commission you earn must be high enough to justify the time and expense involved in promoting the product or service. Different products offer different commission payouts. You must determine which ones meet your needs.
I got started as the author of an ebook which is an example of a virtual product. It is completely digital. No product to stock or ship which saves a lot of time and expense. I chose what level of commission that I would pay out and several people signed up as affiliates to promote my product.
It is widely accepted that the best type of product or service to represent has a recurring commission. In other words, when the buyer subscribes for use of a monthly service, they pay a monthly fee. Some products pay a portion of that monthly fee to you called Residual Income.
Some of the best opportunities out there involve multiple profit centers that all produce residual income. So, when you sign up a customer as an affiliate, you receive multiple streams of income from the same product.
Remember that whatever you choose to market, it must be something of definite value, interest and appeal. That’s the definition of a ‘marketable’ product or service. Purchasing the product yourself is sometimes the only way to know for certain if it can deliver on its claims.
