At-Home Honey Beauty Tips

Mon ,26/10/2009

When you think of beauty tips, do you think of the sweet stuff? I know for sure that I love a great chocolate facial. And there are things such as, sugar scrubs, spice wraps and vanilla steams.

However, all those things are not cheap. The last spa visit I had cost me way over 150 dollars But you can, fortunately, give yourself the same sweet treatments at home with these beauty tips. The main ingredient for these mouthwatering facials and masques? Honey, naturally.

You will feel absolutely luscious in no time when you use these beauty tips that include honey:

* Beauty Tips With Honey #1: Be bubbly - If you want really soft and smooth skin, just add a cup of honey to your bubble bath. Use a loofah to exfoliate while you’re in there and you will have extra creamy and glowing skin. If you want to take a milk bath, much like Cleopatra, just add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder to your bath. If you bathe in any edible type products, just make sure you rinse down really well when you are done.

* Your Honey Do Beauty Tip #2: Layering is fun. - A really great egg white masque can be made by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a tad bit of flour or unsweetened cocoa together until they make a thick paste. Then put a hot wash cloth on your face for about three minutes to open up your pores. Smooth the mask over your face. Let it dry for ten minutes. Then just wash it off with warm water and love your fresh and youthful skin.

* Your Honey Do Beauty Tip #3: Make your own smooth skin toner. - Get an air-tight container and mix ½ cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a ½ cup of rosewater together. A Tupperware with a screw-on lid works great. Thoroughly blend by shaking together really good. You will end up with a mixture that is quite runny and cloudy in color. You can apply it with a cotton ball for tight, toned skin.

When making these kinds of treatments, use the best honey. For less than 20 dollars, you can get a good-sized jar of organic honey that has not been treated with chemicals or preservatives. You will be able to use this honey for your beauty tips for months to come
